Jan Ricken has been a member of Kliemt & Vollstädt's employment-law team in Düsseldorf since October 2008. Before this, he practised as an attorney in the employment-law department of a Paderborn law firm specialising in employment law and social security law. During his traineeship, he spent periods at the large international firm Allen & Overy and in the employment-law department of a medium-sized law firm in Trier. Parallel to his law study in Trier, he completed the course in specialist Spanish for lawyers.

Mr. Ricken advises on all questions of individual and collective employment law. He represents his clients both in court proceedings and out of court. His main practice areas comprise consultancy on litigation relating to termination, advising companies on day-to-day employment-law matters, and drafting contracts of employment and specific types of termination agreements.
