Jochen Saal has been a member of Kliemt & Vollstädt's employment law team at Düsseldorf since November 2007. Before this, he was an academic research assistant at the chair for German and European Employment and Procedural Law and Civil Law of Prof. Dr. Stephan Weth and at the chair for Private Law, Commercial and Business Law and Employment Law of Prof. Dr. Matusche Beckmann at the Universität des Saarlandes. During the period when he was practising as an attorney, Mr. Saal completed his doctorate under Prof. Dr. Weth on the topic of the application of collective agreements in individual employment law.

Dr. Saal advises both enterprises and managerial staff all questions of employment law. His main practice areas are advising on actions against unfair dismissal, day-to-day employment law consultancy for companies, drafting employment and severance agreements in conformity with general terms of business and dealing with questions of law relating to the transfer of a business (section 613a of the German Civil Code).
